This is a very big and long trailer (almost a short mini-movie), and I almost gave it the name "Mega Trailer". But since I had this in mind as something big, something "grand", it was more like something epic. That's how I came up with the title for this trailer.

Act 1 - "Dawn Of Fate"
A beautiful sun at the horizon, a nice landscape, some happy moments of life, while a sad Terminator Theme plays. A peaceful view of a city. Rush hour. The all-American public at the all-American sport. Life is good, too good.
BOOM. Suddenly, the good life is taken away. This is Judgment Day, the end of the world as we know it. Billions of lives are taken away by a thermonuclear fire. We see a city that is blown away, and short after it, another city is blown away.
This act (especially with the beginning) is the most emotional act.

Act 2 - "The Future Life"
The future life is shown, in which humans are fighting to live another day. It's a really dark act. The Infiltrator shows up at the end of this act and fits with the narrating words "a moment of inattention."
The narration you hear is done by myself (yeah I know, I don't have a good voice for trailers, but it was the best I could come up with).

Act 3 - "The War Against The Machines"
This act kicks in with the action and shows the hard fight against the machines of SKYNET. I choose not to add any sound effects when the sequence with the drums takes place, hoping that the impact of these quick scene would be better.

Originally, there was a part in which we see John Connor standing on a destroyed Aerial Hunter-Killer while we hear:
"My name is John Connor"
"Who's in charge there?"
"I am."
After each line, the red eyes of the Endoskeleton were shown. But this visual part was removed since it really didn't fit in with the music. If I will ever make another Terminator 4 trailer, it will have this part as opening.

The original script had also more narration during the fight scenes. But somehow it became all too much with the background music, sound effects and the narration together. I had really loved to put narration in it, but with the omission of the John Connor scene, it fell a bit apart. The narration line “Our only hope in the fight for the future is one man.” had explained so much (and had also explained the title of the movie).

Another thing I wanted to show was the T-1000 that at the end of the trailer would look at the viewer and stick its finger right at the viewer (thus killing him/her). But this turned out to be too much work at the time, so I dropped this idea at the last minute while finishing the trailer.

Video used
For the opening I used footage from the next movies:
- Spider-Man 2
- Spider-Man 1
- Jerry Maguire
- Little Nicky
- Sum Of All Fears

I used a quick shot of the movie Contact when the flashes + drums play for a sort of Time Displacement Equipment idea.

The rest of the clips come from:
- The Terminator
- Terminator 2: Judgment Day
- Terminator 2 3D: Battle Across Time
- Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines
- Terminator 2 Teaser: Building The Perfect Arnie
- Terminator 2: The Making Of
Computer Games: - The Terminator: Dawn Of Fate
- Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines
- Terminator 3: The Redemption
- Terminator 3: Create Your Own Special Effects
- Terminator 2 Ultimate Edition DVD Menu
- Terminator 2 Extreme Edition DVD Menu
- Terminator 2 Ultimate Edition THX Logo

Music used
1.0 Brad Fiedel - Conversation By The Window/Love Scene (edited)
2.0 Craig Armstrong - Hanging
3.1 Immediate Music - Final Omen
3.2 Immediate Music - Blasphemy 2.0 (Choir)
3.3 Immediate Music - Orch 100 Rise 1
4 Spider-Man 2 Trailer Drums
5 Clint Mansell - Lux Aeterna (Full Orchestral Remix)
6 Pfeifer Broz - Far From Home

Another thing I want to say is that every single sound effect you hear has been a loose audio file that I had to add. For example, every single gunshot (plasma shot) has been added seperately. It was a lot of work, but worth it.

The sound effects were taken from:
- Star Wars sound effects pack
- Counterstrike
- Half Life 2
- and ofcourse the Terminator movies.
